Mrs. Candance Taylor is a proud mother of two adult sons, and a joyful grandmother to a beautiful granddaughter. With over 18 years of experience as an American Sign Language interpreter, she brings a wealth of communication expertise and cultural understanding to her work. In 2023, she transitioned into education as a Special Education teacher, serving in the autism department at the high school level, where she works with both autistic and deaf students.
Mrs. Taylor’s passion for the arts and storytelling led her to direct, produce, and co-write her first stage production in January 2025. She is also a published author of two books, including the children’s title It’s DEAF-initely My Life, which tells the story of a boy born deaf to hearing parents.
Deeply committed to empowering and inspiring young people, Mrs. Taylor feels honored each day to teach, mentor, and make a difference in the lives of her students.
