Biography: This is my 25th year as a teacher with the St. Louis Public School District. I taught at Compton-Drew Investigative Learning Center, Blow Middle, and Humboldt Middle before joining the staff at Gateway STEM sixteen years ago. In addition to being a Special Education teacher in the Autism Department, I served as the school's Athletic Director, a Special Education Case Manager, and a Coach for Girl's Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball. Also, I attended school in St. Louis Public School district at L'Overture Elementary and Enright Middle before graduating from Soldan High School.
After graduating from high school, I enrolled at the University of Missouri- Columbia to pursue a degree in Accounting. I had the honor of being a member of the Boy's Basketball squad my freshman year as a walk-on. I was offered a scholarship to continue playing basketball my sophomore year but decided I wanted to focus on academics instead. Four years later, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
After college, I started a very successful Sales and Marketing career working for Phillip Morris, Johnson & Johnson, and Duracell, Inc. as a Territory Sales Manager. During my Sales and Marketing career, I was awarded the President's Circle award five times for exceeding 100% of the sales quota.
