    Today, May 12, 2010, approximately 275 special education students from across the district competed in the Special Olympic Games at Cardinal Ritter High School.

     

    Opening Ceremony began with the running of the Olympic Torch around the track before students took the field to earn medals in track and field events such as sprinting, jumping, and throwing.

     

    “Our students have participated in the Special Olympics for 8 years now, and it is a wonderful experience,” said Rosalie Buscher, SLPS Special Olympics Coordinator.
